can’t believe it’s been 2 months after my wedding!
we still can’t get over the fun from my bachelorette & wedding parties, so we’ve decided to go on a trip to bangkok for some relaxy gal’s time!
what a coincidence: COMO group, the hotel giant that runs luxury resorts over the world in the most desirable destinations such as maldives, bangkok and even bhutan, approached me and offered a complimentary stay for me & my gals!
and so we stayed at the Metropolitan Hotel for our 3D2N trip.
it was such a GREAT pleasure! and definitely a big wedding gift!
this is gonna be a looooong article…
the Metropolitan (the MET) is located in the heart of the city, just 10 mins walk to the MRT station.
the simplistic design & ambiance was super stylish.
and the suite offered to our party of 4 was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! we basically just don’t want to leave our suite!
and it’s a perfect suite for our late night gals’ chat and many stupid behavior (look at the balloons & champagne… -__-“)
as a thank you gesture, we took some nicey photos in the suite, which were later featured in the wedding magazine Darizi.
Hope our coverage on MET is useful for anyone who fancied a relaxy trip in BKK!
we also have our very own butler RC to take care of our needs.
this has to be the most luxury stay i’ve ever had!
Thank you RC!
i’m so loving their restaurant GLOW too. located by the pool, it offers a healthy menu, yet everything’s yummy.
with a fresh fruit + bakery buffet and a “main course" to be picked from their menu, it’s kinda too full for breakfast! but who cares?
shooting silly photos at our morning dip before the mega breakfast~
food in thailand is always incredible. we were also treated to a dinner in Nahm, the restaurant inside our hotel, which was awarded the 50 world’s best restaurnt by UK authoritative Restaurant magazine.
It was such a privilege to dine with my gal pals there as the booking is crazily full.
can’t describe how yummy each dish was… i just really want to revisit the place with all my friends & family…
the erawan tea room in grand hyatt hotel is also one of our favourite spots for lunch in BKK. the larb moo (minced pork salad), the spicy beef salad, curry are all fantabulous.
but my fave goes to the pandan iced tea which is soothing and cooling!
we paid a quick visit to the new asiatique – a big marketplace revamped from a warehouse. it was a little bit touristy for us but some of the goods sold there are pretty cute, especially household stuffz.
the giant ferris wheel from afar is its signature, and a nice view to look at.
the waterfront is lined with restaurants. we randomly picked one and it was really good! (well, just the usual dishes you would order in a thai resto, but all of them taste good! :))
we also dropped by the MET bar for drinks, as you can see, all dressed up!! heehee~
unfortunately it was a quiet night and we didn’t go crazy dancing.
but it was a nice gal’s night chat anyways!
love our rainbow colored cocktails!!! what a night!
dress from pixie market/ clutch from cotton on/ wedges from forever21
tick my look:
love my girls!!! thank you for everything~ xoxo
